Welcome to Flavors of Mysore.
This is our kitchen, brought online with care and quiet pride by our mother, Jyothi (ಜ್ಯೋತಿ). What you’ll find here isn’t just food, but the kind of everyday cooking that carries memory, habit, and a sense of home. These are recipes we’ve made a hundred times, adjusted by instinct, and shared the way amma (ಅಮ್ಮ) always has, without fuss, but with a lot of heart.
From simple tiffin like idli, dosa, and uppittu, to festival favorites and slow cooked meals, everything here reflects the taste of mane oota (ಮನೆ ಊಟ), food that is familiar, balanced, and made with attention. You’ll see a few Kannada words along the way, oota (ಊಟ), ruchi (ರುಚಿ), because some things are best said in the language they belong to.
We’re not trying to be fancy. The idea is simple, to share honest, local cuisine from Mysore and Karnataka, the way it’s actually cooked at home, namma mane aduge (ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ಅಡುಗೆ).
Take your time, explore, and we hope you find something that feels like your own oorina ruchi (ಊರಿನ ರುಚಿ).
From our home to yours
